1) Oil-Based

Oil-Based lubricants are usually made of vegetable-based oils. These lubes last the longest and make sex more comfortable in water. These cannot be used with latex condoms, since oil degrades the chemical composition of latex.

2) Silicone-Based

If you are using silicone sex toys, these lubes will solidify on the toy. They also leave a sticky residue on your body, even after washing.

3) Water-Based

Water-based are mostly composed of water which makes them evaporate faster. This increases the need for frequent reapplication. They are easy to wash off and don’t leave a residue. Choose one without fragrance and flavoring as many common water-based lubes can contain toxic chemicals that negatively affect sensitive genital tissues.

4) Hybrids
