Is there anything better than watching your partner get teary-eyed or overwhelmed with love when they open a gift from you that touches their heart? I would probably argue no. For that reason, I have compiled this list of 15 perfectly sentimental gifts for your partner to make them feel loved. These gifts are thoughtful and show how much you really value your relationship.

1) Viewmaster & Custom Reels

Some of our younger readers may not remember, but once upon a time you could buy a toy that looked like binoculars. Yet, rather than being able to see straight through them, you would put in a film that had various pictures uploaded onto it. You would use the lever on the binoculars to swipe through the pictures. You could get different films with different pictures to look at. They were so much fun!

This first idea runs along that same vein. What you’ll want to do is grab one of these “binoculars”, commonly referred to as Viewmasters, and then have your own film custom made with some of your own images from throughout your relationship! You can grab a Viewmaster on Amazon, a thrift store, or even Facebook Marketplace. 2) Star Maps

Do you and your partner enjoy star gazing? If so, this might be the perfect gift for you! A company will take any date you give them, and create a map of the sky from that exact moment. You can generally customize them with titles and other text. The Night Sky is probably the most simple of the three options. You simply choose the background color, select what you want in your map, alone with the date and title. Starry Maps gives the optional of a digital copy. Otherwise, both The Night Sky and Starry Maps offer frames, canvases, and prints. Greater Skies is a different company that offers a few more design options along with some fonts that are a bit more fun. They offer either a digital print, or both the digital print and a framed copy. All three of these companies run along the same price.

3) A Piece of Jewelry

I don’t know about you, but ever since I saw Troy Bolton give Gabriella Montez a necklace with the letter “T” on it, I knew that that was special. When it comes to jewelry, there are so many options. You could buy a necklace, bracelet, earrings, ring, I might even count a quality key-chain in this list. You could pull a Troy Bolton, with a letter, or you could have coordinates stamped on the piece for the place you first met, had your first kiss, etc. Many jewelry stores like Made By Mary even offer birthstones or the fun option of birth flowers (the official flower of a certain month). Birth stones or flowers could even be for an anniversary date instead! No matter what you choose, it’s hard to go wrong with a piece of jewelry!

4) Framed Picture or Canvas

For years, people have kept pictures of their loved ones close by. What once was carrying a family photo in a wallet, has become using a family photo as a phone background image. People like to see the ones they love often! What better way to help your partner see more of you than to print a picture of the two of you either on canvas or have it framed. Stores like Walmart and Walgreens offer canvas prints. When it comes to frames, you can easily have one of your favorite photos printed in the size you want, and then purchase a frame you like. 5) Commission a Painting

Riding the same wave as buying a framed picture or canvas, you could also commission a painting of you and your lover! Or maybe you choose to step beyond that and commission a painting of your first home or a favorite vacation spot. Maybe you choose to commission a painting with a special phrase on it or the some lyrics from your song. So many choices!

Maybe it seems daunting to find a painter you like! I would ask for recommendations on social media from friends and family. Etsy is also a great way of finding artists to commission work from.

6) Photo Books

Each year my husband and I create a photo book of all of our adventures that year and they are one of my most prized possessions! Photo books are such a fun way to preserve memories. You could create a photo book with some adventures you’ve had with your partner, or even create a book full of screenshots of your favorite texts/emails that the two of you have shared. You could also use a photo book to share photos along with something you love about your partner on each page. There are many ways to do this!

7) Maps of Special Locations

Similar to star maps in capturing the night sky of a special moment in your relationship, you can take a different perspective by purchasing and framing maps of special locations. You can even mark the exact location on the map with a red heart!

8) Love Letters

If your partner enjoys words of affirmations, writing a series of mini love letters could be a great way to show your love. You could write a chain of “Open When…” letters for different moments in your partner’s life. Things like, “Open when you feel down…”, “Open when you feel on top of the world…”, or “Open when you’re scared…”.

You could also write mini letters or comments on small pieces of paper and roll/fold them up and then put them in a jar for your partner to open when they need them!

9) Video

Another easy sentimental gift to make for your partner is a video. You could make a simple video of yourself expressing your feelings for your partner. 10) Poems or Songs
